September 24th SARA/CERT Picnic at Kevin Moran Park in Saratoga 10AM-3PM was a great success!

For All SARA members and Saratoga CERT members, family and friends,

For those of you who missed it (or were uncomfortable with Covid19 concerns), our picnic was a free event, a lot of fun, and a great opportunity for us ham radio operators to meet with many of our Saratoga CERT members. Approximately thirty (30) folks attended. SARA supplied hamburgers and hot dogs, buns, chips, potato salad, and sodas/water. Several folks brought tasty dishes to share. Jack brought his own BBQ such that nothing got torched inadvertently. It was quite fun and good times were had by all out in the fresh air Thanks!

Chuck Rader talked about our CERT emergency “Go Kits” and updated them. All Saratoga CERT members received new customized Saratoga CERT emergency vests, Tee shirts, and embroidered CERT ball caps as well. A great coordinated way to be seen out in public!

Thanks to those who brought ice chests filled with ice for chilling drinks. It was delightful sitting under the redwood trees. Things ended by about 3PM. Thanks!
